First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, for … this is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Tim. 2:1-4)
We believe that our relationships with God and others is deepened in prayer as we bring our concerns, our hopes and our praise to Him. When we pray, we open our hearts to the presence of the Holy Spirit. Prayer is one of the many ways in which we can care for others in our communities.
