Funeral Music Selections

Family members are encouraged to take an active role in planning their loved ones funeral, including choosing the readings and music for the funeral liturgy.  Below are hymns appropriate for the funeral liturgy and are within the repertoire of our music ministry.  For each category noted below, families may select one hymn.  Secular music is not appropriate for the funeral liturgy; however, is appropriate to be played at either or both the wake service and at the graveside.  If you do not have preference for hymns, the music will be selected by our music ministry.  In this case, simply indicate “Musician’s Choice” on the funeral planning sheet.
