Adult Liturgical Ministries

What does the Lord your God require of you, but … to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul?  (Deut. 10:12)

are Eucharistic Ministers whose special charge is to set up and prepare for the Celebration of the Eucharist during Mass.

Eucharistic Ministers are parish members who have been approved by the Bishop to assist in serving the Blessed Sacrament during Mass.  Eucharistic Ministers also help in cleaning, purifying and storing all items used during the celebration of the Eucharist. If they are able,  Eucharistic Ministers may occasionally be asked to bring the Blessed Sacrament to those who have become home bound through age, infirmity, or illness.

Lectors proclaim the first and second Scripture readings used in the Liturgy of the Word during Mass,  as well as the responsive prayers of the Church.
