So whoever is in Christ is a new creation: the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come.
And all this is through God, who has reconciled himself to us through Christ. (2 Cor. 6:17-18)
Baptism is the sacrament of initiation into the Catholic Church. Saint Paul writes to the church at Colossae, “You were buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead” (Col 2:12). Jesus gave his apostles the commission to preach the gospel and baptize those who believed in him, telling them, “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved” (Mk 16:16). Children of Saint Raphael’s parishioners are usually baptized during our scheduled weekend liturgies. Please contact us about baptism during your pregnancy (603-623-2604). Prior to the baptism, we ask that all parents attend the Preparation Classes which are provided by the parish. Adults who are as yet unbaptized and wish to be received into the Catholic Church and become members of St. Raphael Parish are baptized during the Easter Vigil Mass. Those who wish to enter the Church are required to attend the RCIA program offered at the parish. Please contact the Parish Office at 603-623-2604 if you would like to request the Sacrament of Baptism. |
